Grillmeister Gas-Pizzaofen

This is Lidl's outdoor gas oven, not the indoor Silvercrest. Grillmeister sells it as a 4 kW oven with a 30.5 x 30.5 cm cordierite stone, 1 cm thick, in a low double-wall chamber. A U-burner sits at the back. The shop page promises 400 C in 15 minutes. The GGPO 4000 B1 manual is less cinematic: full flame for at least five minutes with the door on, then turn the knob down and keep the built-in thermometer at 350 C or more. Labo Maison, and a lot of owner videos, burn the rim because the dough reaches the burner. Keep the pizza closer to 28 cm than to the edge of the stone. Hose and regulator come in the carton. German bottles run at 50 mbar. Outdoor only. Folding feet, piezo ignition, a window in the door. The older Milano is the same oven under another label. This is not the 8 kW XL.

How this oven bakes

  1. Full flame, door on, at least five minutes. Then drop the knob and watch the dial, not the brochure.

  2. Launch a pizza smaller than the stone. If the dough sees the burner, the rim is gone.

  3. This is the 4 kW outdoor Grillmeister. The 8 kW XL is a different oven. Silvercrest SPE 2400 A1 is the indoor electric.

  4. German bottles are 50 mbar. The Netherlands is 30, Poland 37. Use the regulator that came in that country's box.

Pros

  • Hose and regulator are in the carton. If you already have a bottle, you can light it the afternoon you bring it home.
  • A 4 kW U-burner under a 30.5 cm cordierite square. Enough for a 12-inch pie if you keep the dough off the flame.
  • Folding feet and 9.3 kg on the GGPO 4000 B1 chassis. It stores in a shed.
  • Lidl.de still had it in stock in September 2026. The live outdoor buy, not a rumour.

Cons

  • Low roof, burner at the back. Labo Maison and owner videos burn the rim when the pie fills the stone. Stay nearer 28 cm.
  • The 400 C in 15 minutes is the brochure. The booklet wants 350 C on the dial after a five-minute blast. Outdoor only. 50 mbar in Germany.
  • The 1 cm stone dumps heat. Recovery between pies is slow next to a 15 mm stone or a biscotto.
