AVX PM120T

AVX sells the PM120T indoor electric in Hungary and Romania, the same chassis G3 Ferrari badges as the G10204. Independent 1200 W top and 500 W bottom, six programmes, a 32 cm cordierite stone that is 15 mm in the current pack. Heat it for about twenty minutes. The ready beep and the 450 C on the glass are the element, not the floor, so first pizzas take two and a half to four minutes. Later packs got a thicker stone. AVX called the inner glass reinforced after the earlier glass failed. The timer puts the last bake time back by itself.

How this oven bakes

  1. Start at 450 top / 400 bottom. Measure the stone with an IR gun. The 450 on the glass is not the floor.

  2. Give it 20 minutes until the stone is usable, then 3-4 minute pizzas. Ignore the 90-second claim on the box.

  3. This is the AVX PM120T. G3 Ferrari G10204 is the same technical model under an Italian badge. Lidl SPE 2400 A1 is a different, larger 2400 W oven.

  4. Ten beeps means preheat is done. Set bake time then. After the pizza, the timer restores the last setting.

Weight

Pros

  • Independent 1200 W top and 500 W bottom, up to 450 C. Same split as the G10204, so this is not another 400 C clamshell.
  • The current AVX stone is 15 mm cordierite, thicker than the early 10 mm ones.
  • Ready beep, then the timer puts the last bake time back. You can run pizzas back to back without resetting.
  • Still sold at AVX.hu, so Hungarian bakers can find the oven they actually bought.

Cons

  • 450 on the display is the element. At the ready beep the stone is about 380 C. Do not start with 90-second pizzas.
  • Reinforced inner glass means the earlier glass broke. Tight opening, 12.2 kg, about the size of a small hob.
  • Same fade reports as the G10204: some units still show 450 while the pizza goes pale. Trust the pizza, not the display.

How the calculator uses this oven

  • Temperature and bake time. It reaches 450°C. At the default hydration, the calculator bakes Traditional Napoletana (60%) at 450°C on the deck for about 85 seconds, and Pizza Classica (65%) at 278°C on the deck for about 6 minutes.
  • Baking surface. The calculator assumes the stock cordierite stone. Swap in a biscotto and Traditional Napoletana takes about 90 seconds instead of 85 seconds.
  • Hydration for this oven. It reaches the heat Traditional Napoletana wants, so the calculator keeps the style's 58–65% hydration.
  • Baker corrections. Bake times learn from bakers' reports on this oven. A correction starts once at least 5 successful bakes from 3 different bakers share the same style and surface.
