Silvercrest SPE 2400 A1

Lidl's 2026 indoor electric, 2400 W with independent top and bottom heat, a 38 x 35.5 cm cordierite stone and six programmes. This is not the 1200 W hinged lid. After 15-20 minutes the stone is hotter at the back than the front, around 290-350 C, and the Neapolitan programme still shows about 400 C until you start the two-minute timer. On the stock stone, 430 top and 380 bottom is a working DIY. A 38 x 35.5 x 2.5 cm biscotto fits. Indoor only, on its own circuit. No peel in the box.

How this oven bakes

  1. Preheat 15-20 min. If Neapolitan mode still shows 400, start the timer. On Grillsportverein an IR gun then reads 450.

  2. On the stock stone try 430 top / 380 bottom. IMTEST evened the floor with a longer heat-up, then dropped to about 400.

  3. This is the SPE 2400 A1. The 1200 W hinged-lid Silvercrest is a different oven.

  4. A 38 x 35.5 x 2.5 cm biscotto fits; aPizz confirmed it. Owners then run 450 top and 450 bottom.

Pros

  • 2400 W with independent top and bottom, up to 450 C. More heat than Luigi (1700 W) or the PM120T family (1850 W).
  • 38 x 35.5 cm cordierite, larger than the cheap 32 cm ovens. A 38 x 34.5 cm Fat Tony biscotto fitted on Grillsportverein.
  • IMTEST measured even heat on the stone and a small drop when the door opens. Score 2.05, best price to performance in the test.
  • 36-month Lidl warranty. The hinged-lid model had the same term. Most 450 C ovens in this class stop at 1-2 years.

Cons

  • 450 on the display is the element. After heat-up IMTEST found the stone around 286-347 C. Do not start with 2-minute pizzas.
  • No peel in the box. Lidl sells a two-piece aluminium set separately. The chamber is tight: flattened sides and a metal heat shield.
  • Indoor only, on its own circuit. 2400 W will trip a shared kitchen ring. Seasonal Lidl stock. Sold out across DE/NL/FR/BE by mid-September 2026 after a jump from 99.99 to 129 euro.

How the calculator uses this oven

  • Temperature and bake time. It reaches 450°C. At the default hydration, the calculator bakes Traditional Napoletana (60%) at 450°C on the deck for about 85 seconds, and Pizza Classica (65%) at 278°C on the deck for about 6 minutes.
  • Baking surface. The calculator assumes the stock cordierite stone. Swap in a biscotto and Traditional Napoletana takes about 90 seconds instead of 85 seconds.
  • Hydration for this oven. It reaches the heat Traditional Napoletana wants, so the calculator keeps the style's 58–65% hydration.
  • Baker corrections. Bake times learn from bakers' reports on this oven. A correction starts once at least 5 successful bakes from 3 different bakers share the same style and surface.
